Artist Statement
Annie Terrazzo has been creating mixed media and trash portraiture for almost 10 years and has sold over 400 works in that time. “Detritus”, Annie’s recent artistic endeavor, is made completely out of newspapers and vintage magazines from around the world.
Originally from Colorado, Annie studied art with her family of jewelers and plein air artists and then moved on to study graphic design and portraiture in San Francisco. Since then, she has devoted her time to capturing the current depreciation of newspapers and found paper, making fun of it, and preserving them.
The views expressed by our artists in their artist statements do not necessarily represent the views of our art galleries. Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
If you are passionate about art collecting and would like to buy this beautiful artwork, give our Southern California art galleries a call. Our art gallery is a perfect place for art collectors.
Our owner and curator is Linnea Lenkus, who has two photography studios and seeks to promote high quality artists.
