Charcoal and Pastels
My perception of sound is inadequate, so I create art to satisfy my imaginative curiosity about the dilapidation of sound waves as it enters the deaf ear. My process of creativity is spontaneous but at the same time premeditated with the use of oil or charcoal to alleviate my inquisitiveness. Its bodily actions modify the viewer into a much greater level of visual attention as deaf people are to nonverbal gestures of others, even at 100 milliseconds faster than the general population.
A splash from a silent lake caught my attention as it made a beautiful sound in the aftermath; quietly distorted with a sparkling touch. It was a sound of comfort, a reminder that water will always be there for us when we need it.
