Artist Statement
My work is based in abstract printmaking. I typically combine my works into a conceptual Installation. I use printmaking’s strength of multiples through the repetition of ink on paper, in the likeness to the repetitious advertising we see everyday.
I not only layer paints and materials but also concepts. I reference past artists that inspire me but work with a contemporary conversation. I use a vintage color palette while keeping in mind the contrast of the old with the modern. Handmade textures and constructs suggest these are precious and selective pieces. My process is important to consider, specifically the similarity between art and products, or art as a product. What does my product say about us?
The views expressed by our artists in their artist statements do not necessarily represent the views of our art galleries. Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
If you are passionate about art collecting and would like to buy this beautiful artwork, give our Los Angeles art galleries a call. Our art gallery is a wonderful place for art collectors.
Our owner and curator is Linnea Lenkus, who has two photo studios and a commitment to promote high quality artists.
