The main focus of my art has been to express the beauty and joy of freedom and movement. My interest in water stems from those precious moments that we can remain submerged, when we can appreciate the serene beauty of this alternate world and experience the ineffable joy of being in it.
It is this moment, this transcendent yet fleeting sensation of being submerged in this magical underwater realm, that I explore in my art. My photographic work seeks to capture that moment when the dazzling reflections and refractions of light under water veers toward abstraction, revealing a dreamlike world that is created as spatial elements dissolve and water, light and sky commingle.
Through a range of media and techniques, my artwork aims to give visual form to this magical, light-infused world, and transmit the freedom and joy that I experience when I am submerged beneath the surface of the water. I began doing underwater photography as inspiration for my paintings, but what I captured was so beautiful that pure photography has become a vehicle for my art.
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, where I graduated in fashion design at the Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid (CSDDM) and have worked in the fashion industry in various creative capacities for more than a decade.
