Art Contests Accepted Artists
I work primarily with bronze ad light, inspired by the city and people that inhabit it; the ebb and flow of their movements, chosen paths, and individual perception. Memories mark a city while streets allow for its dissection and recreation. Each person is free to carve their own labyrinthine experience; every twist and turn as concrete and as arbitrary as streets indicated on a map
My imagery is derived from the cityscape. The layered multimedia photographic light boxes represent my ephemeral movements through a city: Paris or New York or any city between and beyond, be it lived or merely visited. The dimensions of each box are directly proportional to the time spent in the city.
As jumbled and overlaid as memory, I attempt to allude to the non-linear and overlapping nature of time and nostalgia. In the end, I am speaking about (dis)orientation.
The views expressed by our artists in their artist statements do not necessarily represent the views of our art galleries. Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
If you are interested in art collecting and would like to purchase this beautiful art, give our art galleries a call. Our art gallery is a wonderful place for art collectors.
Our owner and curator is Linnea Lenkus, who has two portrait studios in Los Angeles and seeks to promote high quality artists. Her goal is to promote artists in her southern california art gallery.
