Adel in movement
Fine Art Photography
My desire to express the freedom and movement of the human body has become one of the main focuses of my art. Through my photography I am driven to capture the passion, strength and freedom of dance. Striving to transmit the weightless yet powerful movements that female dancers produce.
The stylized female form that is my muse is represented not only through my dance photography but also in my aquatic photography. My interest in the female body in motion stems from its competing tensions: between the energy and vigor of a dancer’s movements and her body’s delicate and at times ethereal qualities.
My interest in dance came at a very young age when I was taken to see contemporary, classic and flamenco dance, I am still fascinated by it. Dance of all forms evokes in me a liberating sensation. As a result, I continue to explore the different styles in my photography and paintings
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, where I graduated in fashion design at the Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid (CSDDM) and have worked in the fashion industry in various creative capacities for more than a decade.
