The Little Peasant
My inspiration on the way I look at color and light came to me in my childhood from my father Henry, who was a painter and grew up in Switzerland.“The Little Peasant”, was influenced by a trip four years ago to one of the many museum’s in Madrid, Spain, I was intrigued with the paintings of Amedeo Modigliani, 1884-1920.
I admired the way Modigliani elongated faces as well as his brush stokes. When I returned to the states, I started doing reproductions of his works, but I enhanced the colors. I continued using his style of painting with other projects I was involved with.
I find that painting is a passion for me, feeds my soul that somehow engulfs me for those hours and days of dwelling in the world of color and light.
