From the Stable to the Table: The Disposable Horse
A horse lover from the age of 7, and now involved in horse rescue, I am deeply affected by the treatment of the unwanted equine population. It wasn’t a surprise to find my rescue work influencing my art. Many of my pieces seek to enlighten others to the plight of unwanted horses. This piece, in particular, addresses the controversy behind horse slaughter and the barbaric way these ‘disposables’ are treated in their last moments. All my work utilizes found and repurposed items.
