En revenant de l’école
Born October 21, 1956, in Trois-Rivières (Canada), Raymond Quenneville grew up in La Tuque where he learned the basics of drawing and painting. In 1975, he was already exhibiting oil works in a few boutiques. From 1980 to 1990, he explored a variety of mediums, including watercolour, ink and soft lead pencil. In 1992, he went back to oil painting, and decided to perfect his style in expressing landscape and light. He spent a few years developing his technique, working alongside other artists.
Winner of several national and international awards as well as special mentions from juries and the public, Raymond Quenneville is member of the Institut des arts figuratifs (IAF) and of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA). There is a permanent exhibition of his work at the Galerie Bel Art in Quebec City, at the Galerie Beauchamp in Baie-Saint-Paul, at the Galerie Michel-Ange in Montreal, at the Koyman Galleries in Ottawa and at the New Masters Gallery in Carmel, California.
