Artist Statement
The shadows, textures and softly eroded curves drew me to explore this scene in black and white. From this perspective, the desert sun has sliced into the land from above, gently illuminating the walls and formations some forty feet below. The omission of color accentuates the drama of this beautiful space.  Photographed in northern Arizona.

Bowman Ashe was born and raised in Miami, Florida, with permanent works in public and private installations throughout the US. He currently resides in Plano, Texas.
