Artist Statement
With this image I attempted to convey a sense of journey. Just as Odysseus sought to return to his homeland of Ithaca, so do the Bathyspheres make their long voyage through the great depths. I’ve always been captivated by fantastic worlds, and the freedom of digital media allows me a much greater degree of experimentation during the creation of these foreign lands. “Odyssea” is the result of a series of happy accidents.
