Statement
My inspiration for “Reflection” is a representation of where I was at this time in my life. I had just made a major career shift from 23 years as a LPGA Golf Professional to being a full time artist. This painting captures my deep thoughts of letting go and being fearless as I had been as a golf professional. I was reflecting about my life, where I was and where I wanted to be. I took a deep breath, felt my body relax and surrendered to my feelings.
I am attracted to acrylics and textures in my artwork because I experience life through my feelings of touch. My color selections vary as my emotions do and this is indicated by the variety of colors I use. My view of the world has always been framed with a soft focus of undefined images. This is why I am so attracted to abstract art.
My goal as an artist is to connect individuals to a deeper sense of themselves and stir positive emotions. My wish is to connect them to a deep appreciation of their emotions, color and texture. I want my art to touch a place in their soul and inspire them to create, dream and imagine the life they want to have.
