Artist Statement
The Schmertz is character from the french play by Boris Vian who is ruthlessly beaten by all the members of the family depicted. The play the empire builders is theatre of the absurd. like modern jazz is hard for the public to digest. I have added the preamp feature to the figure to increase the anxiety. This work is done in traditional lithography.
