Art Contests Accepted Artists
Prey explores themes of transience and our connection to the environment. As an artist I am drawn to exploring textures, and in this particular artwork, I have linked this tactile exploration with the concept of paper As a symbol for the alarming rate at which we As humans are using our natural resources. this piece aims to engage the viewer Through its juxtaposition of the natural against the man-made, and asks the question who is really the “Prey” in the current context of our relationship with finite flora and fauna.
The views expressed by our artists in their artist statements do not necessarily represent the views of our art galleries. Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
