Artist Statement
The body acts as a pivot point to navigate the world. This experience occurs from the internal state of self. In the abstracted landscape, a figure emerges from the darkness. Like a beacon, the body radiates light, becoming a source to illuminate the path ahead. The perception of self is articulated throughout these moments, emerging from a darkness that is embraced with familiarity.
