Artist Statement
The scope of my photography/photographic art is broad, but I am partial to nature especially flowers. Nature expresses life. Nature is art: it is shape, patterns, realism or abstract, and often color. Nature in monochrome brings out the inner, hidden depth, and sensitivities through its texture or softness. “Spines and a Flower” expresses prickliness, texture, with a tinge of shyness.
I have chosen photography as my main focus/medium — it allows me to capture a scene in real-time with lasting visual memories to carry back with me and evolve into a finished artwork. My artistic techniques enhance and extend the subtleties, depth and tone of that composition bringing the scene back to life again and then choosing a special paper, or base, for the printed image to continue its presentation.

Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
