Art Contests Accepted Artists

There is something very majestic about the color black. It’s meditative and mysterious. I get lost in that which intrigues me. I can never anticipate these moments; they just happen. All I can do is listen to what they have to say. Profound moments are always waiting for victims. They can be found within or beyond the self.
With my work I am trying to create a unique space for reflection; a place where one may encounter moments of fascination. This work is heavily dependent upon the relationship with the viewer. The piece begs for a dialogue, which the viewer brings to it. However, once the dialogue starts, it quickly turns into a monologue.
Fundamental Foundation is primarily constructed using plexiglass and mirrors. Using a laser cutter, I etched onto the inside of the front panel the particle pathway of the Higgs boson. Inside the box, the walls and back panel are lined with mirrors. Constructing the materials as such creates a layered and fragmented reflection of the viewer. The mirrored surfaces pull the viewer into existence within the piece.
