Artist Statement
Life is forever changing and my artwork tries to convey this. Images I see can differ from day to day depending on my personal mindset. A shared connection happens when we see the same image in something that has no true representation. With this in mind I believe I have created a flowing, ever changing artwork even though it is stagnant in nature.
“Horses, horses everywhere” is the breakthrough piece where through serendipity I was truly able to control the outcome. It has now become a completely intentional process.
I work with acrylics so I can manipulate the effects through chemistry utilizing the physical properties of the acrylic paint and medium. By carefully balancing medium with paint I can guide the effects created by the Rayleigh-Taylor instability and create ethereal forms and patterns in my artwork.
The views expressed by our artists in their artist statements do not necessarily represent the views of our art galleries. Artists can be visually expressive but may verbally misrepresent their true intentions or ideas. Please note that we support expression, whether it is controversial or not, but our intention is never to offend.
