“Beauty is not an intrinsic quality of the work of art, rather it is something that develops from the interaction between the viewer or audience and the piece itself. Art must elicit a visceral response of some kind, passion, awe, sadness, disgust or anything in between from the participant or viewer, only then can it be deemed successful.”
