I am currently making paintings of the guys I know as if they are the male leads of shows with no clear plots. It seems impossible to find a clear narrative about what is heroic and worth valuing in today’s popular culture, and I see a parallel between this confusion and the messy ways we seem to be prolonging our adolescent lives well into adulthood.
