Artist Statement
I received an unexpected bunch of fresh cut irises one cloudy day. As each stem started to open and I quickly positioning individual flowers near a window. The indirect light was soft and enhanced the beauty and strength I felt in the composition. Although I took several images, I felt that this “group portrait†best evoked the emotions of the day.
