Artist Statement
“Till I Reach You” was created within the context of music. Rhythms of sound, vibration and lyrics fill my studio as I work. the layers of fiber paper over the letters and flowing paint represent the influence of sound that infiltrates the mind and body. Music can move us, give us goosebumps and inspire creativity. “Till I Reach You” are lyrics from a song about family and separation. The song has had a huge affect on me as my own family is spread out throughout the country. Music has the power to connect and unify us.
