Artist Statement
I appreciate the simplicity and elegance that a black and white color scheme yields. As a printmaker, I have been exploring the depth one can render while controlling his or her work within a certain parameter. By limiting myself to working only in black and white, I began experimenting with lesser-used techniques to achieve this effect – a kind of minimalistic shadow play.
