Art Contests Accepted Artists
Artist Hanna Kunysz
San Francisco, California, USA
Loon Lake, January 14, 2008
This work is a reaction to ice thinning in the Algonquin region of Central Ontario, Canada. The Algonquin region is filled with glacial lakes which moose and other Canadian wildlife use to migrate across each winter. Since 2008 there have been several incidents of moose falling through the ice and drowning as a result of global warming.
