Art has always been a big part of my life. I was a self taught fine artist during my youth. At the age of 18 I eventually enrolled into FIDM and later attended Parsons School of Design where I learned the skills to illustrate fashion croquis. Recently have further evolved my artistic ability by merging both fine arts and fashion illustration to develop my personal style.
I have always admired Renaissance era artist like Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Boticelli. Past artist definitely have influenced my work. I also admire various illustrators like Daniel Egneus, Laura Laine, Cedric Rivrain, Stina Persson amongst others. I enjoy mixing media like watercolor, gouache, pencil and ink to interpret the faces of fashion.
Primary Mode is part of a series collection of fashion illustrations interpreting the faces of fashion. Most of the work derives from a variety of fashion editorials. These illustrations are done with a two step process beginning with the pencil sketch for clean crisp lines and soft shades. Afterward, colored using water color and gouache to create the distinctive soft romantic style.
