The interpretation of Beauty ran the gamut, but the artwork astounded us. People came up to us to let us know that this was a very classy grouping of work. Check out these photos of the gallery and see what I am saying. We are loving our art gallery.

Green is anything that you think that word means. As an artist, does it mean a feeling, a color, a trend, a political statement? Show us what Green means to you.

A few changes have been made to the way we work for 2012:

1) The next show, Beauty, will likely be our last solo-themed art show at our gallery. Our intention is to pull art from a few topics into one art show, to coordinate art that flows together beautifully.

2)We also notice that some artists can’t ship their artwork to us and for that we have 2 options to either be an online gallery only for these artists or to help artists by printing reproductions for them.

3) We have an FAQ’s page now that we are trying to keep updated with questions that are thrown at us and good advice for framing, packaging and shipping.

We look forward to seeing the amazing art that artists send us.

We were so jazzed that Michael Ellison of Savannah, Georgia flew out for the event. Robin Smith, from Colorado, was there too! Many other artists were there in force. Thank you. Your energy and presence were so wonderful.

Since we have taken on quite a bit and we are soon to have the holidays coming, we decided to give artists a bit more time to get their submissions into our call for artists. So please take a look at the upcoming call for entries and note the extended deadlines.

We’ve gotten a few calls about whether this Black and White Art Show also includes monotone pieces of artwork other than photography. Yes! Please note that we did not say black and white photography, but black and white. So submit those monotone drawings, paintings and all two-dimensional art mediums to the art galleries for consideration.

We are very excited seeing the images of artwork come in for the Nature call for entries. We are seeing artwork from around the world as Nature is everywhere and with many perspectives.

So, please note that September 26th is the new cutoff for the Nature call for entries and we hope to announce the winners soon thereafter.

Just to recap: all art that can be hung on a wall, i.e. paintings, photographs, digital prints, ink, charcoal, chalk, etc. will be considered. We have some excellent artists who have submitted so far and so, if you are accepted, you will be in great company.
